Parul Singh

Leads Program Design and Impact Assessment Functions

I was introduced to the power of changemaking by my grandfather who rejected societal norms to operate a school for marginalized children in Dehradun. After that initiation, it was clear that this was the only sector I could work in. I still think of myself as a girl from the beautiful hills of Uttarakhand who loves meeting people and telling stories.

Parul leads the Program Design and Impact Assessment functions at Head Held High Foundation. In this role, she designs strategic programs and impact frameworks as well as community engagement best practices and strategies. She was instrumental in developing the Head Held High Index for Youth Transformation (HIYT) a tool that measures changes in youth (across a few dimensions) as a result of the Head Held High training program.

Parul also manages partner-led programs for which Head Held High is the primary implementing organisation. These include UNICEF’s YuWaah initiative to foster youth-led social innovation and UNDP’s ‘Sach Honge Sapne’ initiative to deliver online career guidance and build job preparedness in youth.

Parul has extensive social sector experience across areas such as education, health, livelihoods, community empowerment, behaviour change communication, impact measurement, capacity building, institutional partnerships and donor management. She is adept at utilizing insights from communities, field workers and other stakeholders to develop program innovations.

At heart, she is a girl from the beautiful hills of Uttarakhand who loves meeting people and telling stories.
