Heads the Academy and Leads Training Capability Development Efforts
Murali heads the Academy (the main training facility and knowledge repository on the program) and leads training capability development efforts at Head Held High Foundation. During a corporate career spanning more than 28 years, he has worked in various industries – IT, logistics, media, and culminating with a long stint of 15+ years in telecom.
Murali is passionate about the transformative power of education in changing the outlook and making opportunities more accessible for youth. In 2008, he decided to pursue this area of interest more actively by volunteering with grassroots organisations in the education space. In addition to participating in field operations and strategy development, he has served on the boards of organisations such as Dream a Dream and Youth For Sewa. He has served as the COO of Institute of Leadership & Institute of Development (ILID – an initiative of the Kasturi Trust) where he helped drive a three year global tutoring project supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Murali continues to be involved with the work of the Kasturi Trust as contributing trustee and helps oversee the schools that the Trust operates for children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Murali believes that technology can help create greater access in the education space and reduce inequity in the long run.
